I went back to the University of Florida to complete my Ph.D., where I worked on research related to emotional expressions within the family, body image among Latinas, and my doctoral dissertation was on the study of “objectification theory” as it contributes to eating disorders in Latinas. I received the Ph.D. in the Psychology Department at the University of Florida in 2005.
