Overview
I am a highly trained psychotherapist and psychoanalyst with over thirty years experience providing in depth talk therapy with adults, adolescents, and couples. I provide a safe, empathic environment for us to explore and work through painful feelings and thoughts that undermine your self esteem and satisfaction with your life and relationships. I can be of help to you with any number of difficulties including depression, chronic anxiety and acute panic attacks, relationship dissatisfaction, self esteem problems, and work conflicts. Together, utilizing the patient/therapist relationship, we can understand and resolve longstanding, self defeating patterns which can lead to greater self confidence, better decision making and more passion and enjoyment in life.

I received my MSW in 1976, pursued four years of post graduate training in family systems therapy and most recently completed my formal psychoanalytic training at the Oregon and San Francisco Psychoanalytic Institutes in 2006. I teach and supervise mental health professionals.

My specialized training in family therapy as well psychoanalysis allows me to bring depth and richness to my work with couples and families. You will find me to bring a combination of clinical wisdom and common sense to my work.
