Dr. Marley Oakes, Ph.D.
Licensed Psychologist (New York: 019910)

Overview
Psychotherapy offers an opportunity for getting more of what you want from life. Whether you are considering psychotherapy for the first time or returning after time away, I commend you for taking this step toward self-growth. During my 15 years in the field of mental health and as a clinical psychologist, I've worked with a broad range of people and find the work deeply rewarding. Some issues people bring to treatment include: facing problematic patterns in life and work, loneliness and low self-esteem, perfectionism, relationship difficulties, family conflict, trauma, divorce and separation, depression and anxiety, difficulty meeting goals.
I work primarily from a psychodynamic perspective and take an explorative, supportive approach to treatment. My patients tell me they appreciate my compassionate, non-judgmental, and insightful manner. Straight, gay, bisexual, and transgender patients are welcome.
In addition to individual psychotherapy for adolescents, adults, and seniors, I run groups and provide consultation in the areas of divorce, custody, and co-parenting. Contact me via phone or email with any questions or to schedule a first appointment, consultation, or group screening. I am happy to provide a 15 minute phone consultation if you'd like to talk before setting up a first appointment. I look forward to hearing from you.
