I specialize in helping people recover from traumatic experiences such as childhood abuse, intimate partner abuse, or events such as accidents, crime, adverse medical and dental experiences, and traumatic loss.
I also help people overcome phobias such as fear of flying, fear of being away from home, difficulty driving or using public transportation, difficulty socializing and speaking on the phone.
I am a certified EMDR therapist which is a type of therapy that quickly relieves symptoms of anxiety and post traumatic stress.
I also specialize in treating compulsive eating and binge eating disorder.
I am bilingual in Spanish and sensitive to acculturation and immigration issues.
