Kaitlyn Lydell, M.F.T.
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (California: MFC35426)

Overview
Overview: Psychotherapy and Relationships

*I specialize in helping people with relationships- individual adults, couples, adolescents and families.

*Our relationship with ourselves is the most important, and whether you are having difficulties with others, life stress, transition, loss, asking for help from the right therapist is the best place to start.

*Unresolved issues from past relationships or patterns we learned- whether in childhood or adults, can affect our current life more than we know.

*Whether you are struggling with an intimate relationship now, past relationships, family problems, or wanting to learn how not to repeat past patterns in general, I can help.

*I offer a unique, interactive approach that can help you understand what is happening and feel more empowered to make informed decisions, learn to take better care of your own needs and to learn how to try smarter, not harder, to resolve problems and feel better.

*If you are in a relationship of any kind- (intimate, family, professional, friend, acquaintance) with someone who is unavailable, addicted, moody, erratic, confusing, impaired, controlling, unresponsive, angry, narcissistic or just difficult to connect with and they are effecting your well-being, I can help. You may be trying to get them to change so that you can feel better- this is natural, but it never works and you may feel you are losing yourself in the process. This may have happened to you more than once.

*I can help you learn to break the cycle, gain new perspectives, come to understand what is happening, and how not to repeat it. I can help you learn new ways of coping, out of the exhaustion and confusion.

*If you find yourself depressed, anxious, stressed or doing things and/or feeling ways that concern you, if you are otherwise high functioning but understand that friends or family aren't the best source to turn to with your concerns, speaking to a qualified therapist can be the smartest thing to do.

*I have over 25 years of professional and life experience working intensely with and teaching about relationships, and offer a compassionate, warm, safe environment.

*It is essential to find the right fit when you take the step to call a therapist, and I encourage you to contact me to see how I can help.
