Heather M Ehinger, LMFT
Marriage and Family Therapist (Connecticut: 001184)
Overview
I work to build hope, find solutions and create possibilities with a variety of clients and their challenges. I am passionate about working with couples and families who have dealt with a variety of struggles such as divorce, trama, illness, life changes, addictions, sexual identity issues and teen acting out behaviors. I work with individuals in the same solution focused manner. Finding peace and tranquility is often a top priority. I partner with my clients to tap into internal resources and find new tools to use in everyday life.
I am solution focused with a belief in internal strength rather than a pathology based philosophy. I believe in a clients ability to change and grow and i team with clients to look at family structure and functioning. Integrating strategies from the family systems theories and psychodynamic perspectives works!
I believe that my relationship with my clients is the key to our success. I am compassionate, respectful and accepting. Personal experience and professional training are also ingredients to our working relationship. I use humor and flexibility to build on our experience as we work towards your personal goals.
