Beth Wilson, Ph.D. Beth Wilson, PhD
Licensed Psychologist (Washington: PY00002288)
Overview
I believe that the best therapeutic relationship is one that is mutually developed according to the unique needs of the client. I strive to create a safe and non-judgmentalenvironment in which clients experience a sense of trust and respect for their choices. Iemploy an insight-oriented, psychodynamic perspective and try to help clients become more aware of underlying thoughts, feelings and behaviors that may contribute to their current difficulties. In addition, I use family systems theory to understand the patterns thatdevelop in relationships and to help clients change those patterns. While therapy may seemto focus on perceived problems, I believe that it is also helpful to learn fromclients’strengths and successes and to examine what is going well in their lives.
