Linda Tillman, Ph.D.
Licensed Psychologist (Georgia: PSY000959)
Overview
Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University M.S. in psychology from Peabody College Member of the American Psychology Association Member of Georgia Psychology Association I've been in practice since 1986 and am licensed in the state of Georgia. I offer individual, couples and group psychotherapy. I have a general clinical practice and work with adults and teenagers. I have taught assertiveness training in Emory University's community education for 16 years. I run a web page originally developed as an adjunct to this class, but now is visited by people from all over the world: http://www.speakupforyourself.com. I also do speaking for corporations in Atlanta on topics such as teambuilding, communication, burnout, and assertiveness. Some of my areas of interest are: - Self Esteem Building
- Depression
- Interpersonal Communication
- Parenting Issues
- Fertility Issues/Struggle of infertility
- Couple's Communication
- Women and the Glass Ceiling
I believe that growing in therapy is determined by the depth and strength of the relationship between the client and the therapist. Generally, I make a good connection with my clients through warmth and empathy, and we work well together, but if the connection doesn't feel right, I am glad to provide a referral to another therapist.
