I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Board Certified Expert in the Treatment of Traumatic Stress and the founder of the LA Trauma Therapy Specialists, a group practice of therapists who are committed to helping trauma survivors. We see clients with a wide variety of issues or concerns, from people who are struggling with feelings of sadness, anxiety, and intense anger or people who are concerned about their relationships, to people who have been abused as children or have been a victim of a violent crime(s). As you can see, I am highly experienced in many areas. The therapists I work with have additional interests in working with traumatized or abused children/teens, couples therapy, family therapy, men's issues, panic disorders, somatic therapy. We offer an emotionally safe, supportive environment so you may feel comfortable in talking with about whatever your concerns are.

In addition to talk therapy, we utilize a variety of different treatment approaches. We use creative therapy approaches such as sandplay therapy, art therapy, play therapy, game therapy and bibliotherapy. We do EMDR, TAT/EFT (energy psychology), somatic therapy approaches, developmental needs meeting strategies, cognitive therapy, feminist therapy, solution focused therapy and much more! I personally believe that traditional talk therapy, which is extremely helpful, is often limited in its nature. The reason for this is that trauma and emotional pain are stored in the right side of the brain. The right brain is the creative, artistic, emotional area of the brain. The left side is more logical and where the speech areas are located. It is important to work with both sides of the brain for a fuller sense of healing to occur.

Victims Compensation. Negotiable fee. I do provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement if you have a PPO. Aetna and Blue Shield
