Marie Sweeney, Ph.D.
Marie L. Sweeney, Ph.D., Inc.
Licensed Psychologist (Washington: PY00002446)

Overview
I provide adult individual and group psychotherapy, specializing in depression, anxiety, substance abuse, dual disorders, and trauma recovery. I help people identify thinking or behavior patterns that may be preventing them from resolving emotional issues, managing relationships, or achieving life goals. Sometimes treatment involves behavioral methods such as practicing new skills, keeping behavior charts, or journaling. Other clients may simply need information, resources or strategies to solve a specific life problem. And I’m always there to provide support through empathy and encouragement, often by “normalizing” concerns which may be causing a client undue shame or anxiety. Evening hours available.
